COVID-19 Important Patient Communication

Dear Patient,

In light of the evolving coronavirus pandemic, and in order to ensure a safe environment for our patients, physicians and staff, Yorkdale Medical will limit physical access to the clinic as per the following rules and schedule:

The Walk-in clinic will be closed starting with Monday, March 16th until further notice.

  • In-person scheduled appointments will be cancelled for the week of March 16th. Booking in-person scheduled appointments may restart after March 23rd, for patients that are first screened by a physician over the phone or video conference and it is determined that an in-person examination is required.
  • During the period of limited access to the clinic, instead of in-person visits, our physicians will offer virtual visits using the Ontario Telemedicine Network (OTN). Our staff will contact you, determine the best method to connect virtually with your doctor, and confirm the time of the virtual visit. An email will be also sent to you with the required information to connect.
  • Please do not come to the clinic for an appointment if you have any of the following symptoms:
    • Fever
    • Cough
    • Shortness of breath
    • Sore throat
    • Runny nose

If you have any of these symptoms, please call the clinic and talk to our staff about:

  • Whether and where you should go to be tested
  • Rescheduling your appointment
  • Any concerns you may have about delays in your care
