Virtual Care consists of Telephone or Video encounters with the patient in situations where in-person visits are not necessary or not possible due to in-force lock-downs or other travel restrictions as imposed by Public Health during the COVID-19 pandemic.
With the removal of all restrictions from Public Health, effective December 1st, 2022, Virtual Care through Telephone and Video visits will no longer be offered as part of the regular services at Yorkdale Medical. However, this type of service may still be available to some patients, in certain very limited situations, and only if directed by a physician at the clinic.
